Connect a controller to observe how far its sticks move from center at rest.

Input stays in this tab. Esc or leaving this tab pauses the test.

Connected, but not showing up?

  1. First connect the controller to your operating system via USB or Bluetooth.
  2. Start the test and press a controller button with this tab in focus. The browser may not expose the controller until you interact with it.
  3. If needed, reconnect the controller or try another up-to-date browser. Make sure the charging cable also carries data.

This generic diagram does not represent a specific model. Without a standard mapping, we show the reported B and A indices without guessing physical positions.

What these numbers mean

Buttons report a value from 0 to 1 and a pressed flag. Axes report values from −1 to 1. Standard mapping lets us identify control positions; unrecognized mappings keep neutral indices such as B0 and A0. The reported name is not a verified device model.

Observe the sticks at rest

Release both sticks, start the five-second observation and keep the page in focus. We show the largest radial distance from center seen during this interval. A small nonzero value may be normal; there is no universal pass/fail threshold. Pausing, losing focus or changing controller interrupts the observation.

This page does not calibrate your controller, measure end-to-end latency or certify hardware polling rate. USB/Bluetooth, drivers, remapping software and browser support can change the values exposed. Gyro, adaptive triggers, touch surfaces and vibration are outside this first test.

Compatibility is an observation

This prototype has automated logic checks. A model-by-model physical controller compatibility matrix is not yet verified. We do not claim tested Xbox, PlayStation or mobile support before real-device checks.
